First Joint GHKC & HIPNet Meeting

The leaders of the Global Health Knowledge Collaborative and the Health Information Publications Network have teamed up to plan an exciting full day of knowledge exchange that addresses how communication and knowledge mangement bridge the know-do gap in public health. We’ll hear from USAID’s IT/Knowledge Management Advisor, Peggy D’Adamo who has been instrumental in forming both communities of practice. The day will also feature a knowledge cafe led by global health communication and knowledge management practicioners who are developing and implementing forward thinking ways to address communicaiton and knowledge sharing challenges. It is our hope that you leave the meeting having made new connections, offered your knowledge, and left with knowledge you can readily apply. Here are the meeting details:

Objectives: 

  1. Providing a greater understanding of Knowledge Management (KM) and Communications, and how they add value to organizational processes.
  2. Facilitating dialogue among members of the two groups, including how best to communicate knowledge that is being exchanged among partners.
  3. Presenting best practices in both KM and communications that mutually reinforce each other.
  4. Providing practical and applicable knowledge and information for participants focused on KM and Communications in their work.
